The product does a fabulous job of making sure our heavy garden door is properly closed every time and it does it smoothly, slowly and silently, helping to prevent our dogs getting out onto the lane. My sole disappointment lies in the fact that this is my second one in as many years. I had hoped to get more life out of my first one than that. Speaking to the company that makes or imports them, they put the premature failure down to someone pulling the door shut after passing through it. What a shame the product cannot cope with that. I have half a mine to put a sign on the door asking people not to pull the door shut. I have already removed the handle on the outer side of the door, giving those overly tidy people nothing to pull the door closed with. The product supplier offered the keenest price listed on the internet and despatched it very promptly.
